BIOGRAPHY
I have been teaching at Universiti Sains Malaysia since 2001, focusing on Translation Studies with an interest in translation technology. Experienced in supervising postgraduate students in both full-research and mixed-mode programs and in examining theses. Research covers literary translation and translation technologies, with publications in books, journals, and conferences.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests primarily focus on the translation of literary texts, with an additional interest in exploring how translation relates to the use of technology. Other areas of focus include translation technologies and their applications across various text types. Previous research has also examined the translation of both technical & non-technical texts, as well as glossary building in the field of Geography (GIS terminology).
