BIOGRAPHY

Dr Chua obtained his PhD degree in 2011 from National University of Singapore under the supervision of Prof. Chen Ping. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Dalian National Laboratory for Clean Energy, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, China. In 2015, he returned to Malaysia and is currently serving as an associate professor at the School of Chemical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr Chua's research interests mainly focus on developing materials for hydrogen storage applications, spanning across metal hydrides, complex hydrides and organic hydrides (liquid organic hydrogen carriers).
