He has received a prestigious award of the Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development from the Government of Japan. RESEARCH INTERESTS Research in the areas of development planning; housing studies; disaster management; and post-disaster reconstruction in normal and emergency situation, addressing sustainable development and climate change challenges. He is active in implementing Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) practices and a registered professional member with the ESG Malaysia. He teaches mixed approaches and application of quantitative & qualitative research methods.
