BIOGRAPHY
Mohd Sharizal is an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, USM, and Deputy Dean of Research (2025–2027). With over 15 years of research experience, he pioneers simulation-based solutions in 3D electronic packaging and sustainable energy systems. He leads high-impact collaborations in thermal management, reliability, and AI-enhanced modeling, while championing inclusive innovation and dedicated postgraduate mentorship.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Sharizal's research focuses on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) in advanced electronic packaging and sustainable energy systems. His work covers thermal management in 3D packaging, lithium-ion batteries, and photovoltaic systems, supported by AI-enhanced simulation for predictive modeling and design optimization. His research advances energy sustainability and next-generation electronics.
